"The Bay" response.

Director Barry Levinson is coming from a creative angle. Instead of using all the traditional point, shoot on tripod movie cameras he has decided to record footage on mobile phones such as the iPhone, Android, and other smart phones. This is interesting because this gives more of a "discovered" feeling on the footage that they filmed. I think this is a clever idea that will give a sense of realness to the movie. It will leave more of a mark on this film than if they did it traditionally.

What did I learn this week.

Between this week and last week I learned how to do time code math. I learned how to REALLY capture footage. I also learned that taxi meters are a frickin' rip! Much more to learn. Demo tomorrow. I'm SOOOO excited.

Importing and Exporting.

Today I learned how to import and export into premiere. It seems simple enough but NOTHING is ever as easy as it seems. I guess only time will tell when I have to actually export something. Wish me luck. I will need it :o

1. In general, what did you like most about this class?
I liked the people and learning how to use Flash.
2. What was your favorite project and why?
My favorite project was the final music video project because I got to use my imagination to sync my own animations with a song.

3. In general, what did you like least about this class?
I disliked 3D very very very much!

4. What was your least favorite project and why?
My 3D short because I do not like to use the 3D software.

5. What are your future plans upon graduation?
Go to NCCC for Film and Transfer out.

6. Do you feel that this class will help you achieve your future academic or career goals? Please give specific examples.
I feel like it will give me an edge on editing videos and helping me with future work.
7. What advice would you give to incoming students?
Make it to class and use your time wisely!

productive week

finished another 1000 frames for my project. I am taking it home for the weekend and it will be finished by monday. Fingers crossed. :)

What I learned?

I learned that Our class is capable of taking second at Animation contests. Congratulations to Enya and RJ! You both get a gold star from Paulie. (:

Yet another productive week.

Even though i wasn't here on monday i managed to get a lot done for my final project. Things are going well with it and i haven't ran into any serious problems yet. (Knock on wood) About quarter way finished now i keep sprouting up with new ideas for the project. On another note, Ms. Licata saw the back of my girls head (Which costed me 80 dollars (x) haha I am happy i have such a great class. Great week. Great Friday.

Productive week!

This week I finished my 11 seconds, ON TIME. I am now looking forward  to moving onto my independent study project. Yes Andy will be returning.

What I want to Learn?

Why Cheetah is so dumb. I HATE IT. But no seriously. I want to learn how to use live type to it's full ability.

This week.

This week was stressful. Being behind on my project didn't help at all either. But fortunetly I got it done without being late! PS. I HATE 3D.

Is it monday yet?

So it's Friday and I am kind of just ranting on and on because I want to get my blogs done FOR ONCE. I want to learn how to have cool hair just like Enya. ;) Haha I am looking very forward to learning how to use the timeline on cheetah so I can begin making shorts. See you all next week.

What I learned this week?

NOTHING.  On a real note. We just skimmed the surface of cheetah and it is rather difficult but learning how to build things in 3D is easier than I expected. I like the wide variety of tools they give us to play with. I can NOT wait until I know what I'm doing.
